As #GivingTuesday, approaches, we’re here to support your fundraising efforts with ClickBid Event Fundraising. Where should you start? Below are three key strategies to boost your campaign.

1. Customize Your ClickBid Event and Online Donation Page

Utilizing ClickBid’s Text-to-Give/Online Donation page is the quickest and easiest way to accept donations. Creating a customized landing page that tells the story of your mission is crucial. Not only can it fit your branding, but it also fosters a friendly giving experience that makes it quick and easy to submit donations.

Within your event page, include your campaign goal or any gift-matching opportunities. You can also share how your organization plans to use the funds collected by highlighting case studies or showcasing pictures that encourage supporters to give. Use your ‘Virtual Venue’ to thank your donors, promote an upcoming event, or any other important information you want your supporters to know. View a sample Giving Tuesday Event Page here.

2. Create Donation Instructions

Communicating simple donation instructions is key. ClickBid offers a few ways for people to get started and donate. You can either share a custom QR code provided, share your donation link, or communicate the simple Text-to-Give process. Multiple options are available for your donors to use based on what’s most convenient for them!

  • Scan QR Code
  • Share Donation Link
  • Text ‘Keyword’ to 56651

3. Promote Your Cause and Start Accepting Donations!

You don’t have to wait until Giving Tuesday (Tuesday, December 3rd) to promote your campaign. We actually recommend promoting the event as far as 14 days ahead. It doesn't hurt to keep reminding your audience about the significance of this day and how they can get involved with your charity.

You will want to encourage everyone to donate and keep your audience posted on the success of your campaign. After the big day is over, you can make a follow-up post providing your supporters with a grand total of their donations and thanking them for their continued support.
